Nobel prize winner visits new Heriot-Watt/SUPA nanofabrication facility

This month we have taken delivery of a state-of-the-art electron beam lithography system (funded by Heriot-Watt University and the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance). The £0.5M Raith Pioneer instrument offers patterning below 20 nm resolution over mm areas via beam stitching and a laser interferometer controlled stage. Today Nobel Laureate Professor Klaus von Klitzing toured the facility on his visit to Heriot-Watt.
